The movies we are love are as diverse as the women who attend our POWER of Self program. This one was recommended by one of our participants who, like Jess--the heroine of the movie, grew up under the influence of her family’s strong cultural values from their native India.
Bend It Like Beckham gives us all a glimpse into the life of a young girl who dares to be different—who dreams of being “more than” anything her family ever imagined for her.
